The “Billings Ovulation Method™: Natural Fertility Seminar” activity has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and has been approved for up to 27 CME credits for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes. Credits are for active Fellows of the College only.
Who is this Short Course aimed at?
Individuals who wish to learn about the history, philosophy, science and methodology underpinning the Billings Ovulation Method™.
Health Professionals interested in women’s health and fertility, e.g. medical practitioners, nurses, midwives, dietitians, doulas, and natural health professionals.
Individuals who are investigating the possibility of becoming an accredited Billings Ovulation Method™ teacher.
Couples using or considering using the Method.
Women keen to understand & track menstrual cycle phases.
Those working with women and couples, marriage educators, and those working with community interest groups.
Overview of Program:
Session 1: Development of Natural Family Planning Benefits of Billings Ovulation Method™ Scientific Background and Validation of the Method Anatomy and Physiology
Session 2: Charting the Billings Ovulation Method™ – Normal Cycles Correlation between the Science and the Woman’s Chart The 4 Rules – to achieve or avoid a pregnancy
Session 3: The Key to Understanding the Pre-Ovulatory Phase: The Basic Infertile Pattern (BIP)
Session 4: Cycle Variations: Delayed Ovulation, Different Types of Bleeding
This Short Course is not a Billings Ovulation Method™ Teacher Training Course.
Those who complete this Short Course cannot claim to be trained as a Billings Ovulation Method™ teacher or tutor. It will provide sufficient information for private use or to give an overview of the Method. Contact information will be provided so that women and couples can be referred to an accredited teacher.
